Reconstitution
Dissolving a lyophilized peptide into solution.
Reconstitution is the laboratory process of dissolving a freeze-dried (lyophilized) peptide in a solvent - commonly bacteriostatic water - to produce a defined-concentration stock for in-vitro research. The volume added, combined with the vial mass and molecular weight, sets the working concentration.
