Incretin
A gut hormone affecting insulin signaling.
Incretins are gut-derived signaling peptides - principally GLP-1 and GIP - that modulate glucose-dependent insulin secretion. Incretin-receptor agonists, including mono-, dual-, and triple-receptor designs, are studied for their receptor-signaling profiles in metabolic models.
