DAC (Drug Affinity Complex)
A modification that extends half-life.
A Drug Affinity Complex is a chemical group (a maleimido moiety) added to a peptide so it binds covalently to serum albumin after administration, greatly extending circulating half-life. CJC-1295 'with DAC' versus 'no DAC' is the canonical example studied in pharmacokinetic research.
