Concentration principle

Lyophilized GHRP-6 is supplied as a fixed mass of solid. Reconstitution adds a measured volume of solvent (commonly bacteriostatic or sterile water for laboratory work) so that final concentration equals peptide mass divided by solvent volume. Because GHRP-6 has a molecular weight of 873.01 g/mol, a mass concentration can be converted to molarity using moles equals mass in grams divided by 873.01, which is how working stock molarities are computed for receptor-signaling assays. Solvent volume is chosen to land the stock in a convenient range for the assay rather than for any human-use reason.

    Equilibrate the sealed vial of lyophilized GHRP-6 to room temperature before opening to limit condensation onto the hygroscopic solid.

    Decide the target stock concentration for the assay and back-calculate the solvent volume from the labeled peptide mass (concentration = mass / volume).

    Draw the calculated volume of solvent (e.g., bacteriostatic water) and add it slowly, directing the stream against the inner glass wall rather than directly onto the peptide cake.

    Do not shake. Allow the peptide to dissolve passively, swirling gently until the solution is clear and particle-free.

    Convert mass concentration to molarity where needed using the 873.01 g/mol molecular weight to set the working molar concentration for the experiment.
